1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using PDF Scanner, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

If you use the app on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" includes that entity.

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the app only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

2. The Service

PDF Scanner is a document productivity app. Depending on your device, app version, region, and plan, the app may let you:

• scan paper documents or ID cards with your device camera;
• import, view, organize, rename, move, share, save, and export PDF files;
• create PDFs from images and image collections;
• merge, split, compress, watermark, sign, protect, and unlock PDF files;
• extract text from PDFs using OCR;
• scan QR codes or barcodes and generate QR or barcode images;
• convert files between PDF and supported Office/image formats; and
• receive optional notifications, product updates, or support prompts.

3. Limited License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use PDF Scanner for your personal or internal business purposes on compatible devices you own or control.

You may not:

• copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the app;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
• use the app to build or support a competing service; or
• use the app in any way that violates these Terms or applicable law.

4. Your Content and Responsibilities

"Your Content" includes documents, images, signatures, QR/barcode data, text, filenames, metadata, and any other materials you scan, import, create, upload, convert, export, or share through the app.

You retain ownership of Your Content. However, you are solely responsible for:

• ensuring you have all rights, permissions, and legal authority to use and process Your Content;
• the legality, accuracy, quality, and integrity of Your Content;
• complying with privacy, confidentiality, employment, professional secrecy, and data protection obligations that apply to Your Content; and
• reviewing any OCR output, scanned data, converted documents, generated signatures, or QR/barcode interpretations before relying on them.

The signature tools in the app help you place a drawn or stored signature on a document, but they do not by themselves guarantee identity verification, notarization, advanced electronic signature status, enforceability, or compliance with any specific e-signature law.

5. Cloud Features and Third-Party Providers

Certain conversion tools may use remote services to create, upload, process, track, and return converted files. When you use those features, you authorize us and our service providers to process the selected file and related metadata as needed to perform the requested conversion, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and maintain service operations.

Cloud-based features may involve third-party infrastructure or providers, including payment, advertising, analytics, messaging, cloud backend, and document conversion services. Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy notices.

Server-side conversion features may be unavailable from time to time, may be subject to supported format restrictions, fair-use limits, file size limits, technical failures, or regional restrictions, and may be changed or discontinued at any time.

Conversion job records, status data, or temporary result links may expire, be deleted, or become unavailable after processing. You are responsible for promptly downloading, reviewing, and storing any conversion results you need.

6. Purchases, Premium Features, and Subscriptions

PDF Scanner may offer paid digital features, Premium access, one-time purchases, free trials, introductory offers, monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions, or other paid entitlements. Availability may vary by app version, region, storefront, and our current configuration.

6.1 What Paid Access May Include

Paid access may include, for example:

• removal of in-app ads;
• higher or unlimited usage allowances for certain tools;
• Premium-only conversions or compression levels;
• additional file processing capacity; and
• other Premium features described at the point of purchase.

6.2 Billing Platform

Unless otherwise stated, digital purchases and subscriptions made inside the Android app are processed through Google Play. Your purchase is also subject to Google Play's applicable terms, billing rules, taxes, acknowledgements, refund policies, grace periods, account holds, and payment processing procedures.

Where supported, you may be able to restore previously purchased entitlements using the same storefront account that completed the purchase.

6.3 Auto-Renewing Subscriptions

If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription, your subscription renews automatically for the same billing period unless you cancel it before the next renewal date through your Google Play account or other applicable storefront account.

• Canceling stops future renewals but does not normally cancel the current paid period.
• Deleting the app or stopping use does not cancel your subscription.
• If payment cannot be completed, access may be suspended, limited, or removed in accordance with Google Play rules and applicable law.
• Price, tax, and plan changes may be made from time to time, with notice where required by law or platform rules.

6.4 Trials and Promotional Offers

If a free trial or introductory offer is presented, it is available only on the stated terms and only to eligible users. Unless canceled in time, the paid plan may begin automatically after the trial or promotional period ends.

6.5 Digital Content and Withdrawal Rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, when digital features or Premium access are made available immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that performance may begin immediately and that any statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right may be limited or lost once the digital service has started. This does not limit any mandatory refund or consumer rights you may have under applicable law or platform rules.

6.6 Current Availability

Some purchase or subscription flows may be announced in the app before they are fully available in your region or version. We do not guarantee that any displayed offer will be continuously available.

7. Free Tier, Usage Limits, and Fair Use

Free access may be subject to technical, quantitative, or commercial limits, including lifetime limits, daily limits, monthly limits, format restrictions, Premium-only tools, ad-gated unlocks, or other fair-use controls.

We may apply, update, reset, or enforce such limits remotely in order to operate the service, prevent abuse, manage costs, or differentiate free and paid plans. We may also refuse, delay, or block a request that exceeds the applicable limit.

8. Advertising and Rewarded Ads

The free version of PDF Scanner may display advertising, including banner ads, interstitial ads, app open ads, rewarded ads, and similar promotional content. Ads may be provided by third-party advertising partners.

• Rewarded ads may be used to unlock additional limited usage or temporary access to certain features.
• Premium access may remove some or all in-app ads while the applicable entitlement is active.
• We do not control every ad displayed by third parties and are not responsible for products, services, or claims made by advertisers.
• Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the relevant advertiser, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
• Ads may be contextual or personalized depending on platform settings, applicable law, consent flows, and the practices of the relevant advertising provider.

9. Device Permissions and Local Storage

Depending on the features you choose to use, the app may request access to your camera, files, media, network connection, and notifications. You may decline certain permissions, but some features may not function properly.

Files you scan, import, or create may be stored locally within app-managed storage on your device and may also be exported or saved by you to other locations you choose. You are responsible for managing your own backups, exports, and device security.

10. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• use the app in violation of any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right;
• circumvent technical restrictions, quotas, ads, payment gates, or security measures;
• probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or third-party systems;
• upload malware, harmful code, deceptive content, or content designed to impair service operation;
• use bots, scripts, or automated methods to overload or scrape the service;
• misuse QR, barcode, OCR, signing, or conversion features for fraud, impersonation, phishing, or other abuse; or
• interfere with other users' ability to use the service.

11. Intellectual Property

PDF Scanner, including its software, interface, design, branding, logos, text, graphics, compilations, and underlying technology, is owned by or licensed to EasyLearn and protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer to you any ownership rights in the app or our intellectual property. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

12. Updates, Availability, and Changes to the Service

We may release patches, updates, upgrades, fixes, or new versions and may change, add, limit, or remove features at any time, with or without notice, including changes to pricing, ads, limits, Premium features, supported formats, integrations, and compatibility requirements.

We do not guarantee that the app, or any specific feature, will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with every device, file, operating system, or third-party service.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDF Scanner is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and quiet enjoyment.

Without limiting the above, we do not guarantee that:

• OCR, scanning, conversion, QR/barcode recognition, signatures, or file processing results will be accurate, complete, or legally sufficient for your needs;
• documents will never be lost, corrupted, delayed, or inaccessible;
• cloud conversions will succeed for every file type or file state;
• ads, third-party services, or external links will be safe or suitable; or
• the service will meet professional, regulatory, archival, evidentiary, tax, legal, or compliance requirements applicable to your use case.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EasyLearn and its affiliates, licensors, contractors, service providers, and distribution partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use PDF Scanner.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the app will not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the relevant service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If you paid nothing, our aggregate liability will not exceed the minimum amount required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless EasyLearn and its affiliates, contractors, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your Content;
• your violation of these Terms;
• your misuse of the app; or
• your violation of any law or third-party right.

16. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of the app if we believe you violated these Terms, misused the service, caused risk or harm, or if we need to comply with law, platform requirements, or a security obligation.

You may stop using the app at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law, and dispute resolution.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher of PDF Scanner is established, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except to the extent that mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.

If a dispute arises, the parties will first try to resolve it informally by contacting one another. If informal resolution is not successful, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of the publisher's principal place of business, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

18. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force to the extent permitted by law.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or of any other right.

These Terms, together with any applicable purchase terms and our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of PDF Scanner, unless additional terms apply to a specific feature.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted, unless a later effective date is stated. If required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice for material changes.

Your continued use of PDF Scanner after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
